Dutch legend believes that Donny van de Beek should rather sign other clubs than Manchester United after having been a substitute and not being on the pitch much.
Former striker Marco van Basten said that Donny van de Beek will regret the decision to move to Manchester United this past summer.
The 23-year-old star has been on the pitch just 61 minutes in the Premier League after leaving Ajax Amsterdam for a fee of £40m.
Van de Beek was a substitute again in the game draw with Chelsea 0-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday and fans criticize why Solskjaer sign the player.
Van Basten said: "When you're a good player you want to play every week."
"It's really bad for a player like Donny to play six or seven games this year. That's shocking for your rhythm."
"I know he's earning loads more than he used to. But as a top player you have to be critical and look at the chances of playing when you sign for a new club."
"Donny should have waited for better prospects and signed for another club."
Van de Beek used to earn £30,000 per week when he was with Ajax before earning £108,000 per week with Manchester United.
